Just outside the township of Ararat on the eastern edge of the Grampians region, Big Hill Lookout provides expansive views of the surrounding countryside and distant ranges. It’s a perfect introductory stop for those approaching the park from Melbourne or Ballarat.

The lookout is easily reached by car, only minutes from Ararat’s town centre. From the summit, you can see Mount Langi Ghiran, the Pyrenees Ranges, and on clear days, parts of the eastern Grampians peaks.
